Buying Season has finally finished and we have been travelling all over to make sure we provide our Brides with the best possible dresses for next years collections.
It all kicked off in Barcelona on the last weekend in February. La Sposa send us to a luxury 5* hotel just outside of the main town. We headed over to the exhibition hall to take a look at the gowns. We were blown away with the collection and found it very hard to narrow down our choices. All the dresses are extremely elegant and classic with a lot of illusion necklines and back detail. Ball gowns featured heavily as well.
The following weekend we were off to Olympia in London to see Allure Bridals and Hayley Paige Bridesmaids. Here we found ruffles, fishtails and cut outs were a trend and we also picked up a new designer Art Couture.
Fast forward a few weeks, we were due to have a long weekend in Venice with Nicole Spose. However, due to all our staff coming down sick we missed the first 2 days and had to fly out and back all on one day. But boy was it worth it!! These dresses are simply stunning, bodices full of beautiful beading and lots of ruffles (again). For those 'say yes to the dress' fans, there were even a few Pnina Tornia inspired see through bodices. All the dresses can be seen on our Facebook page now.
Finally, last weekend we went off to White Gallery in Battersea. This is where the couture designers show their collections for the first time. We were there to see our English designer So Sassi and accessory designer Ivory & Co. So Sassi, also introduced separates for the first time, but still have a very English country-rose with a twist look. There was only one thing missing from all our collections and we were desperately looking for it, BLING! So while at White Gallery we took a look at MGNY (Madeline Gardner New York). Now, if you want sparkle these are your dresses. They are adorned with crystal beading and lace, and some have low or detailed backs.
All of these dresses are set to start arriving in June and we should have everything by September. Keep an eye on our Facebook page as we will be putting official photography of the collections on there first.
Phew, now to find where we are going to hang all these dresses...
